Financial Assistant

Reporting Structure: The successful incumbents will report to the Assistant Accountant

Job Grade: Level 6

 

Although not limited to, the incumbent’s main responsibilities will include

  • Post all Cashbook Payments, debit orders and bank charges on Accpac.
  • Daily Banking.
  • Perform credit checks on new applications.
  • Email statements, invoices and other supporting documentation to debtors timeously (ensure read receipt is selected in mails).
  • Receive payments from customers and allocate the payments against the relevant invoices in Accounts Receivable.
  • Compile AR daily banking reports for review by Assistant Financial Manager.
  • Print AR Age Analysis daily and follow up on outstanding amounts.
  • Check limits of In-house accounts are not exceeded.
  • Petty Cash.
  • File all documents neatly and accurately by month.
  • Assist with audit requirements at year end.
  • You will be requested to attend stock takes.

The following qualifications and experience are essential

  • Grade 12/Diploma/Certificate relevant to the role.
  • At least 1 years’ experience in a finance role.

The ideal candidate should be from the Belfast Trust and surrounding area, strong desire to learn new skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team and enjoy high stress production environments.
