The Place Where the Sun Rises
Kruger Gate Hotel is situated in Mpumalanga in the eastern region of South Africa which shares borders with Mozambique and Swaziland, as well as the provinces of Limpopo, Gauteng, Free State and KwaZulu-Natal. Mpumalanga is home to the game-rich southern territory of the iconic Kruger National Park, and its Capital city is Mbombela. The province has two airports serving visitors to the Kruger Park – Kruger Mbombela International Airport which is an hour’s drive from Kruger Gate and Skukuza Airport located in the Park, just a 20 minute drive. The climate is sub-tropical due to the proximity of the Indian Ocean. Mountain ranges include the Drakensberg and the Lebombo Mountains. Major Mpumalanga that traverse the Kruger Park are the Sabie, Sand and Crocodile Rivers.
