Rest, relaxation and a reset – Why you need a Kruger safari this December

The one thing that is sure to give you the charge that powers you through the looming year-end is to book your December holiday now.

Work and life deadlines, pressures and responsibilities are starting to pile in now that we are in the last quarter. We know what’s up ahead too – the exhausting flurry of end-of-year work parties and social get-togethers. At this time of year, we are reminded of how hard it is to just get ourselves over the finish line.

But having something restorative and invigorating up ahead definitely shifts your focus and boosts your energy. Do you need to refresh yourself by getting out into nature? How long has it been since you were in the bush? Have you ever gone on a Kruger safari? Are you longing to leave behind the daily grind and experience something completely different? What do you need most to shore up your resilience?

Unplug and reconnect with nature – In an age of constant connectivity, finding a place to unplug and disconnect is a rare treasure. A Kruger safari with us offers just that – a chance to put the endless distractions of modern life in their proper place and immerse yourself instead in the sights and sounds of the African bush. You can wake to a chorus of birdsong, soak up our views across the Sabie River into the wilds, marvel at a family of Elephants having a happy mud bath – all from our Pool Bar & Viewing Deck. It’s in these moments of quietude that you can reconnect with nature, and with yourself.

Experience true relaxation – There’s something uniquely therapeutic about the rhythm of the wild. Waking up at dawn and setting off on our early morning game drive fills you with anticipation and instils a much-needed sense of calm and wonder. Afterward, lounging by our infinity pool with the Sabie River flowing by you will sink into a deeper level of relaxation than you have felt all year. Breathtaking scenery and luxurious comfort creates a setting where stress simply melts away.

Rejuvenate your mind and body – Nature has a remarkable way of restoring our mental and physical well-being. The Kruger National Park’s wide-open spaces and awesome wildlife encounters encourage deep breathing, helping to clear the mind and reduce anxiety. The Kruger Gate Hotel’s African Spa offers the perfect complement to this rejuvenation, with treatments designed to ease tension and promote relaxation.

Rediscover adventure and excitement – December is the perfect time for a safari, as the summer rains bring the bush to life. The landscape transforms into a lush, green wonderland, teeming with wildlife. Each game drive is a new adventure, filled with the excitement of discovering animals in their natural habitat. The thrill of spotting a Leopard lounging in a big tree or watching Impalas clashing horns reminds us of the wonders of the world and reignites our sense of adventure.

Make unforgettable memories – Whether you’re traveling solo, with a partner, family or friend group, a Kruger safari offers experiences that create lasting memories. The shared excitement of a Lion sighting, the joy of a sunset over the bushveld, and the laughter around a fire under the stars are moments that will stay with you long after you’ve left. December at the Kruger Gate Hotel is not just a holiday; it’s a time to create stories you will tell for years to come.

Start the New Year refreshed and recharged – Ending the year with a Kruger safari sets the stage for a fresh start in the New Year. The tranquillity and beauty of the Park provide the perfect backdrop for reflection, allowing you to reset your priorities and enter 2025 with renewed energy and clarity. It’s a chance to leave behind the stress of the past year and embrace the possibilities of the year ahead with a light heart and a calm mind.

Kruger Gate Hotel was one of the best resort experiences I have ever had. Not only are you on the doorstep of kruger, the wildlife permeates through the place by walking through it contantly (the non dangerous ones!). The hotel itself is well kept/looks good and is filled with leafy trees. The infinity pool looking out over the river is fantastic and you are bound to see many Animals from there alone.

The staff are all great people. Lawrence and so many countless others always went out of their way to help me whenever they could, even setting us up with things for other parts of our trip at no benefit to them.

A bank of memories with good people!

Perfectly located on the Sabie river surrounded by game reserves, right next to 1 of the main entrance gates to the Kruger National Park. Beautiful outlay on wooden decks / walkways surrounded by lush vegetation and trees. 1 indoor restaurant and 1 outdoor restaurant shape in a boma. Rated 4 star hotel but the food variety and quality is close to 5 star. 2 outdoor swimming pools with one overlooking the river and big game that may wonder upclose. Game drives can be booked any time of day and a gym is also available Romantic, peaceful and good value

What a truly beautiful hotel. We loved watching the hippos in the river from the infinity pool, and every dinner around the open fire was absolutely wonderful.
We spent three unforgettable days on safari with Enock, who completely made the experience for us. His knowledge is exceptional, he answered every question with ease and enthusiasm. He went above and beyond to ensure our safari was everything we hoped for and more.

Thanks to Enock for amazing 3 day Safari with my family. He was so much fun and his knowledge was incredible teaching us a lot while making us feel very safe.
His experience showed with him been able to spot out the smallest signs of animals, allowing us to see 4 of the big 5, among many other animals.
Thanks Enock.

Enoch was an incredible safari guide. He was so knowledgable and made us feel very safe. He could spot animals without a camera or binoculars that we hadn’t been able to see! He knew lots of information about the animals and local area. He was also extremely respectful to the animals.

Equipe atenciosa, quarto amplo, confortável e bem decorado.
