Where we are & how to get to us

The Kruger National Park is a vast wilderness refuge that spans eastern regions of both Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces.

There are 9 South African entrance gates to the southern, central and northern areas of the Park.

The Paul Kruger Gate is one of the 5 entrances situated in Mpumalanga giving visitors easy access to the southern and central reaches of the Park. From the nearest town, Hazyview, it is a 48-kilometre drive by tarred road to the Paul Kruger Gate; and the ‘Capital of the Kruger National Park’, Skukuza Camp is just 20 kilometres away.

Kruger Gate Hotel is located on the banks of the Sabie River, right at the Paul Kruger Gate, and is reached easily by road from Johannesburg in around 5 – 6 hours via two routes:

  • N4 to Belfast; R540 to Dullstroom & Lydenburg; R37 to Sabie; R536 to Hazyview, S1 to Paul Kruger Gate – 470km
